Kitana playthrough

Kitana is a newly introduced character in Mortal Kombat 2, and she is the first of the many female ninja that would appear in most MK games that followed. Kitana is the princess of Outworld, adopted by Shao Khan under tragic circumstances. However, unlike him, she seeks pace in-between realms.

Her main weapon is her sharp Fan, and she is able to throw them, including in the air. She also has the ability to lift people with them, allowing her to perform juggles. Finally, she swipes her opponent with them. Outside of her fan, she borrows Sonya’s square punch and is mainly used as an anti-air.

Because of the lack of a juggle system in the Game Boy port of Mortal Kombat II, Kitana’s potential is toned down. However, she is still powerful with her roundhouse kick and her Fan Swipe technique. Her jump kick seems to have more range than the other character, except Mileena. Her air Fan Throw technique can catch CPU if it tries to jump. Her Fan Lift move is hard to execute properly dues to requiring to be closer to her opponent than other ports.
