Kung Lao Playthrough
Kung Lao return in Mortal Kombat 3 with a new attire, while keeping his trademark hat. Attempting to Reform the White Lotus Society, he is part off, Shao Khan invasions threaten his organization. Warrior at heart despite his pacifism, his only wish is to bring the emperor’s terror down.
Kung Lao strength lies on the combination of his special move. His Hat Toss push his opponent away. His Diving Kick allow him to perform an extra air kick while in the air, while, like the move said, push him back on the ground, for more combo possibility. His hard to execute Spinning Shield move is back, and allow Kung to do incredible combo. Finally, he can perform a teleport, which will bring him on the opposite side of the screen, mostly behind his opponent. It allows Kung Lao to perform a jump punch or kick and start a combo right away. With this, he has two small combos but one powerful that can be hard to execute dues to how fast Kung Lao perform the move.
Against the CPU, Kung Lao can abuse his Spinning Shield and perform a long tirade of combos against his opponent. The CPU doesn’t react right away, giving him time to rush while still spinning, striking them. His Diving Kick is also excellent during juggling, as he can intentionally avoid his opponent, but then hit him with a standing low punch and resume the juggle. His throw, especially when performed in the corner, can be spammed over and over, since the character is stuck on the front side of Kung Lao every time.
