Rain playthrough

Rain is the seventh ninja introduced. He first appeared has a red herring in the attract mode of Arcade’s Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, but is not actually a character in the game at all. However, he has made his debut in the Super NES and Sega Genesis version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 as a playable one. All his moved is derived from these 2 ports. However, his 2 Fatality, Animality and Friendship are unique to MKT.

Although considered broken as well, Rain is more balanced than Noob Saibot. Still, he is a very powerful character with unique special move. With his Mind Control Orb’s move, he can move his opponent anywhere in the arena for a few seconds. This allows him to create a setup for combo possibilities. His lighting move is also a combo starter, throwing his opponent in the air. Finally, his roundhouse kick cause his opponent to fly off the screen and appears on the other side. Although done the same way as any character roundhouse kick, only Rain has this special property. Combining all these moves along with his combo makes him a very powerful character.

Rain has an easy time against the CPU. Most of the time, no attempt will be made to block his Mind Control Orb’s, but they might try to avoid the Lighting move. Because of this simple fact, throwing the projectile over and over and do combo in between is why he is such a strong character.
