Liu Kang playthrough

Liu Kang is introduced as a member of the Super Secret White Lotus Society. However, he leaves the organization in order to represent the Shaolin temples in the tournament. He is aware of Shang Tsung’s treachery and corruption and has strong belief over his will to stop him.

Liu Kang has two fast special moves. His projectile is a fast fireball and his second move is his Flying Kick. The latter move consists of launching toward his opponent with a jump kick. However, Kang is vulnerable if blocked.

Liu Kang is one of the few characters that have a mostly similar fatality to the original one. The only difference is that his cartwheel doesn’t actually strike the opponent (even though he is touching him during the motion, which is what trigger the fatality scream).

Kang is very fast, but he doesn’t have the air prior to that most characters have. His fireball and his Flying Kick will be his main weapons. He can occasionally chain the two moves together if he hit his opponent with his fireball while they are in the air. The CPU also seems to have difficulty to avoid the projectile and will get hit.
