Stryker Playthrough
Stryker is a newly introduced character in Mortal Kombat 3. He witnesses one of the Outworld portal opening up and causing a great deal of chaos and panic in his city. The leader of a riot control brigade and police officer, he finds himself being apparently sparred and being the only survivor of that attack. Reuniting the representants, he vows to avenge his city against Shao Khan.
Stryker arsenal are all related to modern weaponry and his police training. He can use his baton for two moves. His Rushing Attack consists of going straight to his opponent and if he connects, he will throw him with his baton. His other move is his Baton Takedown, which is a more damaging variant of a regular sweep. As a projectile, Stryker use grenades. He can throw them high or low, and there is no way to know which one he does at the beginning. He has four combos, but two of them will cause his opponent to be launched in the air.
Against the CPU, Stryker is pretty strong, but timing is a key. Both of his grenade variations will push his opponent away while he can perform his launching combo early in the game with ease. His jump kick followed by his baton throw technique work well if the well-timed. However, his baton sweep is mostly useless, as the CPU will counter it easily.
