Sheeva Playthrough

Sheeva is a Shokan, like Kintaro and Goro. She is handpicked by Shao Khan to serve as a bodyguard for Sindel. However, Sheeva begin to suspect him for an imminent abandon of her race in favour of the Centaurian. She is even more concerned when Motaro took the role of the leader of Shao Khan’s extermination squad. It is said that the Shokan are natural enemies of the Centaurians.

In terms of raw strength and damage, Sheeva is the most powerful regular character. Her Fireball does more damage than a regular projectile. She also has two stomp special moves. The first one is performed in the same way as Kintaro, going out of the screen and stomping the opponent below, and another one that makes Sheeva stomps the ground, doing damage in the same way as Jax’s ground pound. The drawback of these powerful moves is that they are all slower to perform, but the regular stomp cannot be blocked. She has 2 powerful combos, one causing the opponent to be launched and another that deal over 40% of damage on the opponent health bar. Finally, her throw has a unique property that cause the opponent to be bounced once in the air, allowing some combo to be done.

Against the CPU, Sheeva can destroy her opponent with her long combo that is started from a high punch or high kick. With the aggressor activated, this can deal as much as 60% of damage, defeating an opponent in less than 10 seconds if used twice. Her projectile also works well after mashing the low punch or high punch or when far away from the opponent, as soon as he gets up from a knockdown. However, both stomps move, especially the later one, are not used as often because the CPU seems to know how to easily avoid it. Because of her height, her high kick and roundhouse kick make excellent anti-air.
