Mileena’s Sai Toss is back and faster to perform than in MK2. It is best used when performed in the air however, both her Air Kick and her Ground Roll moves are slower. While the Air Kick would be used to hit airborne opponent, the Ground Roll is useful to do after a jump kick to perform juggles. It can also be used from far away to hit an opponent in this projectile animation (Except Liu Kang’s Low Fireball). She has 2 main combos, with 2 variations on the former and 1 on the ladder. The strongest variation of each is quite hard to execute because of the unique input required.
Against the CPU, Mileena has a good challenge. Her combo does not cause the opponent to be launched and she can’t mix them with special move. However, if she is quick enough, a well performed jump kick, followed by a Ground Roll will always work. Her Airborne Sai Toss can be used to avoid the projectile, because it allows her to stay in the air for an extra second. Her throw is very fast, but unlike Kitana, it is not as easy to spam because Mileena throw her opponent farther on the screen. On the corner, two kick throws can be done, however.
