Baraka Playthrough

Baraka in Mortal Kombat Trilogy (MKT) is a tweaked version of his Mortal Kombat 2 incarnation, keeping the same sprite he had. In order to fit MKT, he gained news animations for running and for specific fatality performed on him. He also gained a few combo, an Animality and a Brutality.

His most notable new move is the Blade Spin, which causes him to rotate while having his blade open, causing damage and allow Baraka to perform more moves for a combo. His jump punch and jump kick are unique to him and are excellent combo starters. The broken Head Swipe technique he had in MK2 is back and unmodified, which mean he can be used very fast without pushing Baraka away (as shown against Shao Khan).

Against the CPU, spamming the Blade Spin twice and using a quick move (high kick, low kick) will cause devastating damage. The move also functions differently against bosses (except Motaro), causing them to be uppercut for even more combo possibility. It is also possible and easy to catch the CPU in the blade fury when they are running at you. Lastly, his less effective move, the Blade Spark, can still be used at your advantage to catch airborne opponents.
